Engaging in an intimate dialogue with the memories and sensations of his childhood, the author explores with sensitivity and depth the complexity of territorial boundaries, highlighting the (in)visible traces left by man on the landscapes of Saône-et-Loire and neighboring departments.
This project is rooted in the author's sensory experience – a subtle yet perceptible change in the sound and vibrations of a car, signalling the entrance into the department where his grandparents lived.
Approaching departmental boundaries as interfaces between worlds, the author explores the physical and symbolic markers of these landscapes. Transforming their seemingly ordinary nature into element of contemplation, this project initiates a dialogue between individual memory and the physical reality of the landscape and the geographical space of borders.
